WBRZ Adds Investigative Executive Producer

By Kevin Eck

Mark Phillips has been named investigative ep at WBRZ in Baton Rouge, La.

Phillips comes from KPNX in Phoenix where he’s the deputy managing editor and has worked for the last 19 years. Before that he helped launch 24 hour newschannel, Chicagoland TV. He’s also been a reporter for WDSU in New Orleans.

“You can take the boy out of Louisiana, but you can’t take the Louisiana out of the boy,” said Phillips. “I am an adopted son. When Lee Polowczuk said he had an opening at WBRZ, he didn’t need to say it a second time. WBRZ has a long history of excellence. I feel honored and blessed to join this talented team.”
