WBFF, the Sinclair-owned Fox affiliate in Baltimore, unveiled a new set during yesterday’s 4 p.m. newscast.
The set has a community focus, with imagery of the city’s 72 historic districts. It also features three LED displays behind the main desk, a large storytelling wall with 14 monitors and more.
“Sinclair Broadcast Group has been at the forefront of industry-changing events and technological advances. For our ‘home office’ we had to have a high-tech information hub for WBFF’s dynamic news operation. Team DDG delivered a design that energizes the entire staff and serves the community. The historic touches throughout the set honor the heritage of Baltimore and our founder,” said Mark Nadeau, director of TV production for Sinclair.
The set also pays tribute to Sinclair’s founder, Julian Sinclair Smith, who began his career as an electrical engineer before launching WBFF. Sinclair is based in Maryland.
Today is the first full day that WBFF will use the new studio.
