Michelle Chism has been named assistant news director for Baltimore NBC affiliate WBAL.
“Joining WBAL-TV is an amazing opportunity and I am looking forward to contributing to its legacy of serving the people of Baltimore,” said Chism. “As journalists, we are called to be a voice for the voiceless, to hold the powerful accountable and serve our communities to the best of our abilities. WBAL-TV is certainly able and I’m proud to become part of the team.”
Chism has been assistant new director at KVUE in Austin, Texas since 2013. She’s worked at KTHV in Little Rock, Ark., and WDAF in Kansas City, Mo.
