KOIN weekend anchor Wayne Havrelly has retired from the Portland, Ore., CBS affiliate after more than 40 years in local TV.
Havrelly started working at KOIN asa a freelancer in 2016 and was named weekend anchor in 2020.
“That’s a wrap! Thank you all for allowing me to share your stories for so many years!” he wrote on social media.

The station said his first-ever live news report on television was interrupted by a bomb set off by a white supremacy group. He’s worked as an anchor and investigative reporter in Orlando, Seattle and Portland.
