Rob Sneed has joined Huntsville, Ala., ABC affiliate WAAY as a weekend evening anchor, managing editor and reporter.
Sneed announced the news on social media, saying that he’s been out of local TV for more than a year.
“This is my first time with ‘anchor’ and ‘manager’ titles,” Sneed wrote on social media. “I want to thank my new News Director Adam Henning and General Manager Mike Wright for believing in me, supporting me and truly appreciating my gift. I know I am in good hands and at a station I know I will be supported and uplifted.”

Sneed last worked at WGN in Chicago. He’s also worked at WCMH in Columbus, Ohio, KMOV in St. Louis and WOIO in Cleveland.
