VIDEO: Bill Daley Tells WMAQ He Will Leave Obama Administration After Election

By Andrew Gauthier

Bill Daley recently told WMAQ that he plans to leave his position as President Obama’s chief of staff, following the 2012 election.

“I made a commitment to the president through his re-election–which I’m confident he will do–and then my wife and I will return to Chicago,” Daly, a prominent member of the legendary Chicago political family, said (video above).

Daly’s remarks to the NBC-affiliate have been picked up by a number of media outlets this week, including The Washington Post and Businessweek.
