Veteran Boston Investigative Reporter Leaving TV to Teach

By Kevin Eck

Mike Beaudet says he’s leaving Boston Cox-owned Fox affiliate WFXT.

Beaudet has been at the station since the Fox affiliate’s first newscast in 1996. He’s leaving at the end of September.

He’s been teaching journalism at Northeastern University and Emerson College while working at the station and has decided to focus on teaching full-time.

WFXT news director Lee Rosenthal tells TVSpy Beaudet will be a professor at Northeastern.

Before coming to WFXT, Beaudet worked at WMUR in Manchester, N.H, and WLBZ in Bangor, Maine.
