Univision 23 (WLTV) news director Samuel Belilty is out at the Miami affiliate.
Media Moves reports that station gm Claudia Puig let the staff know about Belilty’s departure last week.
“We are grateful for the contributions, expertise, and commitment that Samuel Belilty brought to our news division over the course of his career at Univision,” said the station. “On behalf of TelevisaUnivision, we wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
Belilty joined the station in 2017 after working as news director at Univision 23 Dallas (KUVN).
Chris Peña, svp of local media news and Christine Portela, East Region content lead will help assistant news director Miguel Fernandez until a news director is hired.
