Two Local Reporters Join NBC News as Correspondents

KNSD reporter Dana Griffin and WBBM reporter Marissa Parra will join NBC News as correspondents.

The two will report across all NBC News and MSNBC platforms. Griffin will be based in Sacramento, while Parra will be based in Washington, D.C.

Griffin comes from NBC owned station KNSD in San Diego, where she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor. She previously spent nearly three years reporting for KCRA in Sacramento. She began her on-air career as a weekend anchor and reporter for KIEM in Eureka, Calif.

Parra comes from CBS owned WBBM in Chicago, where she spent the past three years as a general assignment reporter. Before joining WBBM, she worked as a freelance producer for ABC News’ Washington, D.C. bureau. She began her broadcast career as a reporter and fill-in anchor in central Virginia, where she earned a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for team coverage of the deadly 2017 Charlottesville riots.
