It’s a sad day for KMSP viewers and employees.
Longtime Twin Cities meteorologist Steve Frazier lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.
TVSpy first reported on his diagnosis. Frazier has been battling the disease for the last two years.
“Steve was one of a kind. Never a negative word passed by his lips—a true beacon of positivity. He was a magnet for making new friends and delighted in his old friends,” Fox said in a statement.
Frazier recently told many friends he was at peace. Co-workers took to social media as they heard the news of their friend’s passing. The station also put together a tribute video.
It’s with a broken heart and a puddle of tears that I have to share we’ve lost our friend @FrazierFox9. Through his brave battle with cancer the past two years many of you have kept our friend in your prayers. It sustained him through this journey. May God bless you all. pic.twitter.com/jPJnueqNrX

A picture paints a thousand words.
Especially when the words are hard to come by.“And now these 3 remain: Faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love.”
Rest In Peace my dear, sweet, quirky, funny, beautiful friend. @FrazierFox9 Mercy is yours. 🙏❤️ pic.twitter.com/ZyMBbNQvig
