Trish Munn Rejoins WBTW in Myrtle Beach as Anchor

By Kevin Eck

Trish Munn is returning to WBTW as solo anchor of the 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. newscasts. She will co-anchor at 4 p.m. with Patsy Kelly.

This is a return to WBTW for Munn, who worked at the Myrtle Beach, S.C. CBS affiliate between 2004 and 2014 as senior digital journalist then Pee Dee Bureau Chief and finally weekend anchor.

“Trish says she missed news greatly,” said WBTW news director Paul Caron. “When she learned we had an open anchor position, she was one of the first to reach out to me. Trish is excited to get back into the news side. With her experience and community knowledge, she’s a great fit for our news team.”

Munn became a professional photographer and opened her own studio after leaving the station in 2014. She also worked at Francis Marion University as director of public relations and as director of marketing for the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce.

Her first day is Monday, October 16.
