Sources say the game was Cards Against Humanity, which describes itself as “a party game for horrible people” and goes on to say “Unlike most of the party games you’ve played before, Cards Against Humanity is as despicable and awkward as you and your friends.”
Station officials declined to comment on the firings other than to release this statement from station vice-president and general manager Brian Lorenzen:
“WTOL takes seriously its employment policies and our obligation to provide an environment in which all employees are treated with respect and dignity. As a result, WTOL had to take personnel actions this week related to several employees. Due to personnel matters being involved, we cannot comment further.”
Missing from the airwaves since earlier this month are anchor/reporters Trevor Ault and Ali Bradley and meteorologist Kimberly Newman. Bradley and Newman could not be reached for comment. When reached by phone, Ault declined to discuss his departure from the station.
TVSpy reached out to WTOL’s parent company Raycom on Monday, but never heard back.
