WJW, the Fox station in Cleveland, is building a legendary investigative with the addition of three longtime investigative reporters .
Tom Merriman, Tom Meyer, and Carl Monday are returning to news and joining Fox 8 News as contributors to the I-Team.
Combined, the three of them bring 130 years and 156 Emmy awards to the station.
“Experience matters. Especially when it comes to investigative reporting. We are thrilled to welcome back Tom, Tom and Carl, who along with Bill, Peggy and Ed, make up the Mount Rushmore of investigative reporters in Cleveland TV News history,” says Fox 8 news director Andy Fishman.
Both Monday and Meyer are recently retired from news. Meyer left his full-time post at WKYC, the NBC affiliate in Cleveland, in June.
All three reporters start Monday.
