KTXS vp and GM Albert “Bud” Brown died unexpectedly Tuesday at the age of 64.
“Bud was a quality person who was always most concerned with doing the right thing,” said Randall D. Bongarten, CEO of Bonten Media Group. “We will miss him greatly.”
Brown, who was also vp and GM of KTXE in San Angelo, joined KTXS in Abilene in 2012 from WWL in New Orleans where he had been president and GM. He’s also worked in Houston, Texas, Spokane, Wash., and Tulsa, Okla.

“His generosity was unmatched, giving to countless charitable organizations, near and far,” said the station.
