Terry Swails Joining KGAN-KFXA as Chief Meteorologist

Cedar Rapids, Iowa CBS affiliate KGAN and FOX affiliate KFXA have announced Terry Swails will be joining the stations as chief meteorologist.

Swails comes to the Cedar Rapids stations from WQAD in the Quad Cities. The Quad City Times reports viewers held a rally for Swails when he was let go from WQAD in June.

“Growing up in Iowa City, WMT/KGAN channel 2 was always the unquestioned news channel at our house,” Swails said in a statement. “I look forward to bringing my passion and knowledge for weather to the viewers of Eastern Iowa. It’s good to be back home.”
