Telemundo Miami Freelance Meteorologist Gets Full-Time Gig in Denver

Telemundo Miami meteorologist, Niurma Sánchez, is leaving Miami and heading to Denver.

Telemundo Denver-KDEN announced today that she will be the stations new Noticiero Telemundo Denver weather anchor.

“Niurma’s ability to deliver clear and concise meteorological information coupled with her passion to help inform viewers about severe weather threats, will help our Telemundo Denver Weather Authority team stand out from the rest,” said Andrés Chaparro, station president and general manager.

Sánchez worked as a freelance meteorologist at Telemundo 51-WSCV since 2016.  Prior to that, she worked at the Cuban Institute of Meteorology.

Today is her first day.
