Telemundo Bay Area Promotes Sandra Perez to News Director

Telemundo 48 Área de la Bahía (KSTS) has promoted Sandra Perez to news director.

Perez will report directly to Stephanie Adrouny, vice president of news for NBC Bay Area and Telemundo 48.

“Sandra’s promotion to News Director signifies a pivotal moment for Telemundo 48,” said Adrouny. “Sandra’s deep-rooted understanding of our community positions her perfectly to lead our top-rated Spanish-language newscasts with unparalleled insight and expertise. “Sandra has been a key driver of our mission to inform and help our audiences for years,” said Stacy Owen, president and general manager of NBC Bay Area and Telemundo 48. “Rooted in Northern California, she is dedicated to impactful storytelling that illuminates and celebrates our diverse Spanish-speaking community.”

For the past ten years, she has played a key role in Telemundo 48’s success, serving in various capacities, including assistant news director, managing editor, senior producer, and morning content producer. Before her working at Telemundo 48, Perez was a producer at Univision Fresno (KFTV), followed by roles as an executive news producer and marketing and creative services manager at Univision Portland (KUNP).
