Lynn Beall has been promoted to evp and CEO of TEGNA Media.
Replacing her as evp of TEGNA Media is Mark Cornetta, who was evp of TEGNA Media and president and GM of KUSA. Steve Carter will replace Cornetta as president and GM of KUSA.
“Lynn and Mark have tremendous records of leadership and accomplishment. They, along with current executive vice president Peter Diaz, give us a best-in-class executive team as the foundation of our growth and transformation plans,” said Dave Lougee, president of TEGNA Media.
Beall was president and GM of KSDK in St. Louis before being named evp of TEGNA Media. Cornetta has been the president and GM of KUSA for 11 of his more than 30 years there. Carter comes from WCSH in Portland, Me. where he’s been the president and GM for the last five years. He worked at KUSA from 1992 until 2011.
