KXTV will be the second station to partner with Cheddar Local.

The Tegna owned NBC affiliate in Sacramento, California announced the partnership that will incorporate Cheddar’s business segments produced for a millennial audience into the station’s broadcasts.

The segments will air twice a day and feature the day’s top business headlines.

“As we continue to reinvent local journalism in the digital age, we are excited to work with innovative, digitally-focused companies, like Cheddar, to reach new and younger audiences across platforms,” said Ed Busby, senior vice president of strategy at Tegna.

“Cheddar Local gives stations premium business coverage that audiences can’t find anywhere else. We applaud TEGNA for recognizing this value and look forward to giving audiences leading business and tech headlines most relevant to them. Jon Steinberg, CEO of Cheddar.

In addition to Sacramento, Cheddar Local may expand to other markets across TEGNA’s nationwide footprint of 46 stations.

Cheddar Local also appears on the News 12 Networks.
