Taisha Walker is leaving Houston NBC affiliate KPRC after five years.
On social media, she told viewers she’s decided to leave the station for another job.
“I accepted a wonderful opportunity, which will allow me to stay here in Houston and tell stories in a different capacity. I am ecstatic about what the future holds,” she said. “As I reflect on my time here, I can’t help be proud of my personal and professional evolution; from being an example that natural hair is professional, to using my voice to amplify yours and advocate for marginalized communities and groups.”

Walker joined the station in 2018 from KMBC in Kansas City.
