WWTI-TV 50 will add several newscasts by fellow ABC affiliate WSYR-TV 9, Syracuse, and end local television news production.
Beginning Sept. 8, WWTI will add early morning news by WSYR from 5 to 7 a.m. weekdays and evening news at 6 p.m. seven days a week. The station has broadcast WSYR’s 11 p.m. newscast since June 22.

WWTI news director John Moore will give his last morning news broadcast Sept. 11.
“The addition of the news content will allow our station to shift and focus 100 percent of its news energies on our Web site,” said David J. Males, vice president and general manager at WWTI. More…
