Spectrum News Syracuse Reporter Brad Vivacqua Leaving Local News

Brad Vivacqua leaving Spectrum News in Syracuse, N.Y. after nearly 16 years.

Vivacqua shared the news on social media, saying he is “leaving the news industry as we begin a new year….to take on an exciting new challenge where I will have no fear.”

“When the time is right I’ll provide an update on my career transition…” he wrote. “For now I’ll just say thanks for the support while I’ve held my position.”

Vivacqua joined Spectrum New Syracuse in 2008. While there, he’s worked as a sports anchor/reporter and as a traffic reporter and fill-in news anchor. During that time, he’s also worked as an adjunct professor of Broadcast and Digital Newswriting at Syracuse University.
