Sketch Released of Indianapolis News Crew Carjacking Suspect

fox59-carjacking-suspect-2A sketch of the man suspected of carjacking a WXIN news crew last month has been released.

The Indianapolis FOX affiliate reports a reporter and photographer were covering a prayer vigil on October 14 when they were held up at gunpoint.

A bag belonging to the FOX59 reporter was recovered from behind a dumpster in the 3900 block of N. Irvington Avenue. Police also found a BB gun, resembling a .45 pistol.  A gray shirt was also found near the street, possibly belonging to the suspect, said police.

The suspect is described to be approximately 5-feet-9-inches tall and 170-180 pounds. He was described to be wearing a gray hoodie, gray shirt, black jeans and was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
