Sinclair Broadcast Group has entered into a long-term affiliation agreement with NBC for five stations it owns and four that it operates.

The previous agreement in the Sinclair markets expired December 31, 2015.

The Sinclair stations under the agreement are WOAI in San Antonio, Texas, WJAR in Providence, R.I., WNWO in Toledo, Ohio, WSTM in Syracuse, N. Y., and WPBN in Traverse City, Mich.

The stations Sinclair operates through a joint sales agreement are WPMI in Mobile, Ala., WEYI in Flint, Mich., KMTR in Eugene, Oregon, and WNBW in Gainesville, Fla.

“We are pleased to continue our relationship with NBC, a provider of popular entertainment and sports programming,” said Sinclair’s evp and General Counsel, Barry Faber. “We are confident that these renewals of these stations’ affiliation agreements will pay substantial dividends in both advertising sales and net retransmission consent revenues.”
