Sinclair has announced it has hired investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson to host a national Sunday morning news program to air on its affiliates.
Sinclair says the 30-minute Washington, D.C. based show is set to launch in the fall and will be “a blend of investigative and political journalism, with a focus on accountability.”
“Americans are thirsty for reporting that holds powers-that-be accountable, whether they are politicians, corporations or other special interests,” said Attkisson. “I am excited about the opportunity to report on untouchable subjects in a way that can reach even more viewers than my stories touched in the past.”
Before joining Sinclair as a freelancer in July, Attkisson was a correspondent at CBS News.
