A man is facing charges for allegedly stealing a KOMO news car while a photojournalist was still inside.
The photographer for the Seattle ABC affiliate was parked outside the station Monday evening, working in the backseat of the vehicle, when the suspect jumped into the driver’s seat and began driving off. The photographer got out of the car safely before the suspect got away.
The car and everything in it were later recovered. The station said the subject had been arrested 24 hours earlier for a similar incident in a different city.
