Matt Waggoner has been promoted from senior executive producer of News and Sports to assistant news director for Seattle’s Fox affiliate KCPQ.
“Matt is a dedicated and passionate leader and I am thrilled to have his tremendous skills and judgment to lead the day to day operations of the newsroom,” said news director Erica Hill.
Waggoner started working at the Tribune-owned station in 2012 and was nightside ep before being named senior ep.
He’s also worked at KPTV in Portland, Oregon and KPHO in Phoenix, Arizona.
