Sean Maroney Named WNCN Evening Anchor

maroney_wncnRaleigh, NC, NBC affiliate WNCN has named Sean Maroney evening anchor.

Maroney will anchor alongside Melanie Sanders at 6:00 p.m., Pam Saulsby at 7:00 and 11:00 p.m. and chief meteorologist Wes Hohenstein at 6:00, 7:00 and 11:00 p.m.

“Sean hit the ground running the moment he joined our team,” WNCN director of content Andrea Parquet-Taylor said in a statement. “He is the embodiment of our brand — smart, creative, compassionate and hard-working.”

Before coming to WNCN in May 2013, Maroney worked for Voice of America.
