Scott Carpenter has joined Birmingham, Alabama NBC affiliate WVTM as an anchor and reporter.

Carpenter will co-anchor the 4, 5, and 6 a.m. newscasts every weekday morning alongside Carla Wade, meteorologist Stephanie Walker, and breaking news anchor Sarah Killian.

“Scott’s experience with morning news, his reporting, and his thirst for connecting with a community make him an ideal new member of the WVTM 13 team,” said president and general manager Susana Schuler. “He joins a talented team working daily to help Central Alabama wake up fully informed and energized about the day ahead.”
