Ken Slats has left Savannah, Ga., NBC affiliate WSAV to work as a public information officer for the City of Savannah.
Slats worked at WSAV for 11 years, nine of those as sports director. As PIO, he’ll help run the Savannah Government Television Station.
He started his career at WPDE in Florence-Myrtle Beach, S.C., before moving to Cleveland to work at WOIO. He’s also worked in Reno, Nev., Rochester, N.Y., and Youngstown, Ohio.
