Sara Dayley, who has been serving in an unusual dual role as anchor at St. Louis Fox affiliate KTVI on weekends and PIO for a county fire department during the week will give up her anchor duties this weekend.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Dayley will be replaced on weekends by anchor-reporter Jeff Bernthal on a temporary basis.
Dayley previously worked at KSDK before leaving for the job at West County EMS and Fire Protection District, returning to the anchor desk on a part-time basis at KTVI in April. The station reportedly kept Dayley from reading any stories about the fire district to avoid the appearance of a conflict.
To keep things interesting, Dayley has also put in shifts working with Fox Sports Midwest.
