San Francisco Bay Area Telemundo station KSTS is launching a 5 p.m. newscast Monday, September 26.
The show will be anchored by Cesar Bayona and Blanca Garza.
“Our new 5 PM newscast will provide our viewers with more local news, up-to-the-minute weather forecasts and consumer information, across all platforms,” said president and GM Rich Cerussi.
The station has also hired Melissa Hernandez and David Gonzalez as multimedia journalists and has named Arlen Fernandez to lead its Consumer Investigative Unit, Telemundo Responde.
“We are very happy to welcome Melissa and David to the Telemundo 48 family, and we are excited that Arlen will be taking on this new role and continuing the great work of our consumer investigative unit,” said Cerussi.
Gonzalez comes from KESQ in Palm Springs, Calif. while Hernandez comes from Entravision Communications where she was a video journalist, fill-in anchor and producer.
