The media continues to get creative while practicing social distancing.

In San Antonio, rival stations are joining forces and sharing video content during the COVID-19 pandemic in an effort to practice social distancing.

KENS5 assistant news director James Keith posted this on Twitter today:

“SA PR FRIENDS – You may notice only one TV station showing up to your events. We’re practicing social distancing and sharing content with each other. So while only one camera may be there, know 7 TV stations are getting your content,” he wrote.

It’s not unusual for stations to share content; in many markets, this kind of arrangement already existed prior to the coronavirus outbreak.

KENS is the CBS affiliate in the market. Right now, most of the staff, including anchors, is currently working from home.
