WPLG, the ABC affiliate in Miami, Fla., has named a second new anchor in one week.
Alex Finnie will fill the vacant weekend co-anchor position. Finnie will join Andrew Perez on the anchor desk Saturday and Sunday at 5, 6 and 11.
“We are Local 10, and when we can find someone like Alex with the talent, skills and the local roots, it’s a win for the station and the community,” said WPLG president and CEO Bert Medina.

Finnie is no stranger to the desk. She has been filing in since 2019 and has been with the station since 2018.

Finnie grew up in Miami and graduated from the New World School of the Arts.
