Salt Lake Anchor Pleads Guilty To DUI

KUTV anchor, Shauna Lake, will pay a fine and complete eight hours of community service for driving under the influence in May. She will not serve any jail time.

According to a story in Desert News, Lake plead guilty in court on Tuesday and admitted impaired driving, a class B misdemeanor.

The judge confirmed that Lake’s blood-alcohol level at the time of her arrest was .10, the legal limit is .08.

The paper reports Lake’s attorney said “the weeks since her arrest have been painful” and that “because of her position in the public she has had to endure a lot of criticism.”

TVSpy first reported Lake’s arrest in May. She issued an on-air apology after the incident.

A review hearing is set for October 26.
