Demond Fernadez is leaving Houston ABC owned station KTRK to work as a reporter at Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA.
“I’ve enjoyed three awesome years in Houston,” Fernandez told Houston media blogger Mike McGuff who first reported the move. “I’d like to thank the ABC 13 viewers, neighbors and community members across the area who trusted me to help tell their stories. I’m very excited about this new journey in my career.”
Fernandez started at KTRK in May 2011. He has also worked at WOAI in San Antonio, WEYI in Flint, MI, and WSYM in Lansing, MI.

WFAA news director Carolyn Mungo told TVSpy Fernandez will start June 23.
