Reid Lamberty has been named weekend anchor at Boston ABC affiliate WCVB.

Lamberty joined WCVB in October 2014, after working at WMUR in Manchester, N.H. He left Boston NBC affiliate WHDH in 2013.
“Reid is an exceptional anchor and reporter who brings great experience and a depth of knowledge gleaned from many years of covering news in New England,” said WCVB president and gm Bill Fine. “He’s been a strong asset to our NewsCenter 5 reporting team over this past year and will be a great addition to WCVB’s weekend anchor team.”
Starting January 10, Lamberty will join Pam Cross on Saturday evenings and Heather Unruh on Sunday nights. Cross’ Saturday evening co-anchor Bob Halloran will go back doing sports after doing both news and sports for many years.
