Plane Crash Takes Life of WFLA Helicopter Pilot

WFLA helicopter pilot Lester Hathcox was killed in a plane crash in Georgia last night.

WTSP reports the plane was found in Climax, Georgia, about 18 miles from the nearest airport. The plane was reported missing almost 30 minutes after it took off from Lakeland Linder regional Airport in Lakeland, Florida, Monday morning at 9:06 a.m. The wreckage was found around 4 p.m.

Also killed in the crash, was a well known attorney, Gene Odom.
