Pittsburgh Reporter Pam Surano Leaves KDKA to Follow Her Faith

KDKA reporter Pam Surano has traded reporting local TV news for religious based reporting.

Surano left the Pittsburg CBS owned station after nearly four years to join the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh’s communications and community relations department.

In her new role, Surano will do faith-based reporting for the Pittsburgh Catholic magazine and other diocesan publications. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said Surano’s new boss is former KDKA anchor Jennifer Antkowiak who left the station in 2016.

“I have loved reporting for KDKA-TV,” Surano wrote on social media. “I’m now looking forward to serving in a new capacity. Happy to share the journey here! Your prayers have meant the world to me!”
