Pittsburgh anchor Susan Koeppen gave viewers an option if they’re tired of waiting for April the Giraffe to give birth.
The KDKA anchor recently did a Facebook live showing her waiting quietly for the arrival of her 6 p.m. newscast.
People have been watching April the giraffe on a live feed from her pen for what seems like months waiting for her to give birth. While Koeppen didn’t give birth, she did eat and write…demonstrating the breadth of activities that happen in a TV newsroom.

“See her in her natural habitat eating Swedish Fish, drinking unsweetened tea and reading scripts,” Koeppen wrote on her page.
