Phoenix Weekend Anchor Zach Crenshaw Leaves Local TV After 5 Years at KNXV

Zach Crenshaw has left Phoenix, Ariz., ABC affiliate KNXV after five years.

Crenshaw, a reporter and weekend anchor for the Phoenix station, announced his departure on social media last week.

“I’m happy to throw away my makeup,” he said on social media. “But I will miss the hell out of breaking news, a good records request, and never knowing what story tomorrow will bring. It’s an amazing job. But it pales in comparison to being a Dad — and my girls are a huge reason I’m ‘getting out.’”

Crenshaw later told The Arizona Republic that he and his family are moving to the Washington, D.C., area to begin work in crisis communication and media training.

Crenshaw started working at the station in 2018 as a reporter after working in Memphis, Tenn., and South Bend, Ind.
