Philadelphia NBC Station Hires Two Reporters

WCAU logoWCAU has announced two new hires. The Philadelphia NBC owned station said Randy Gyllenhaall started today, while Mitch Blacher will join next Wednesday.

“Bringing Randy and Mitch on board further enhances NBC10’s commitment to the community,” Anzio Williams, WCAU VP of News said in a statement.

Gyllenhaal will work in the station’s Lehigh Valley Bureau. He comes to Philadelphia from WPBF in West Palm Beach, Fla., where he had worked as a reporter. Before coming to WPBF in 2011, he worked at WPTZ in Burlington, Vt.

Blacher joins the “NBC 10 Investigators” unit. He comes from KGTV in San Diego where he was an investigative reporter. Before that, Blacher was an investigative reporter in Albuquerque, N.M. and had worked as an anchor or reporter in Fort Wayne and also Terre Haute, Ind.
