Each year, Out Magazine names the top 100 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons. This year, WPVI meteorologist Adam Joseph is on the list.
The magazine says Joseph made Philadelphia history when he came out publicly in August 2014.
“‘I am just living my “normal life’ each and every day and never expected recognition for it,” Joseph wrote on facebook. “But, I must thank Karl and my son Jacob for showing me it’s perfectly ok to share with the world, the beautiful person you are, no matter how different you may feel. Reach for the stars, even those way beyond your reach.”

Last year, Joseph took a two-month leave of absence to help raise his newborn son Jacob.
