Breland Moore is joining Philadelphia Fox-owned station WTXF as a sports anchor and reporter.

Starting on May 24, Moore, who attended nearby Temple University, will report and anchor sports for the station’s weekday 5, 6, 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts.

She’ll also host Sports Sunday and will anchor the Eagles pregame show Game Day during the NFL season.

“Breland is Temple proud, but Philly made!” said vp and news director Jim Driscoll. “We welcome her back to the best sports town in America, where the fans will love her passion as much as they love their teams.”

Moore last worked at KCTV in Kansas City as a sports anchor. She’s also worked at WHEC in Rochester, N.Y.

She started her career in television at Service Electric Cable TV in Allentown, Pa. While attending Temple University, she served as the university’s mascot, Hooter.

“No matter where this job led me, I’ve always hoped for a full circle journey to bring me back to Philadelphia,” Moore said. “I’m ready to return to the city that raised and educated me so I can cover the very teams and athletes that inspired me to get into this profession in the first place.”
