Philadelphia Anchor Discovers Kids Don’t Know What a VCR Is

By Kevin Eck

Good Day Philadelphia anchor Mike Jerrick celebrated National VCR Day by reminding everyone what we did before movies, TV shows, my Dad’s recordings of every Olympics ever and resume reels were reduced to ones and zeros.

The anchor for Philadelphia’s Fox-owned station took a VCR out onto the streets and asked The Kids Theses Days what it was.

He got answers ranging from copy machine to DVD player. One kid guessed it was a radio, another thought it was a stereo. Jerrick didn’t have time to get into the whole Betamax thing, but he did find the cut off line for VCR knowledge was ten years old.
