Tribune Broadcasting has named Paul Rennie general manager of its Chicago CW affiliate WGN.

Rennie comes from Tribune’s Indianapolis CBS and Fox stations WTTVWXIN.

“Paul brings significant industry and Chicago experience to this role. He understands the variety of opportunities at WGN, from Sports, to News, to becoming a true independent,” said Tribune president of Broadcast Media Larry Wert. “He is a strategic and innovative thinker with a long history of success in Tribune’s major markets; the perfect fit for Chicago’s Very Own.”

He was the GSM at KCPQ in Seattle from 2004 until 2013 and was the head of sales at WRTV in Indianapolis for two years before that.
