KRIV reporter Pattie Shieh has been cut loose at the Houston station after six years.
Sheih filed her last report at the Houston Fox O&O on July 15, according to Houston media blogger Mike McGuff. “Pattie’s contract has not been renewed,” a KRIV spokesperson told him. “An extensive search for her replacement is underway.”
Shieh’s departure comes slightly more than a month after the reporter, who is a graduate of the University of Houston, made viral fame by using an expletive in one of her reports.
