Pahl Shipley, who oversaw media relations for former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, is returning to his TV news roots.

Shipley has been hired as an executive producer for Albuquerque-Santa Fe ABC-affiliate KOAT, where he served as news director for seven years before joining Richardson’s office.

Shipley began as the Director of Communications for the Governor’s office before handling communications for Richardson’s presidential campaign in 2008.  Most recently, Shipley worked as the Head of Publicity and Media Relations at New Mexico’s film office.
