Liana Brackett has joined The Weather Channel as an on-camera meteorologist.
Brackett last worked at KPTV in Portland, Oregon where she was an on-camera meteorologist and produced the 8 and 9 p.m.newscasts.
She started her career with the National Weather Service in 2009.
The Weather Channel says the hire is part of it’s move back to its roots of “reporting deep on weather.”
