Lauren Taylor is leaving WOWT in Omaha, Nebraska after five years.
Taylor announced the news on social media by saying she’d announce her next move later, but was getting out of the business and staying in Omaha.
“For the last five years, it’s been a privilege and an honor to deliver the news as WOWT’s Evening Anchor to you, the viewers of Omaha‘s Metro,” she wrote. “Thank you so much for entrusting me to share your stories — It’s been a rewarding position to fulfill and I feel so grateful to have worked alongside some of the hardest working journalists in the industry.”
She joined WOWT in 2018 after working at WFXR in Roanoke, Virginia. She’s also worked at RNN in New York City where she was a Multimedia Journalist for FIOS1 News, WPMI in Mobile, Alabama and for KXVA-KIDY in San Angelo, Texas.
